Trade Officer - Asia

Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership (STEP) is seeking a Trade Officer – Asia as part of its dynamic team of international marketing professionals.

You will assist trade development activities to advance opportunities for Saskatchewan exporters, both nationally and internationally, that support their pursuit of sales, contracts, and projects.

You will support the Senior Director, Asia in planning and implementation of a program of trade missions to priority markets.   This will be across all sectors.  Strong sales/marketing/business development, communication, project management and team building skills are necessary to deliver results for Saskatchewan exporters, partner organizations and international contacts.   This is a contract position for approximately 18 months.   

In addition to qualities noted above, you need to possess other knowledge, skills and abilities such as:

  • University degree in Commerce or Business, preferably with a focus on International Sales and marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two years relevant work experience in marketing or sales.
  • Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan export capabilities
  • Flexibility to travel in-province and outside of the province and country
