Trade Mission: Nordic Future Food 2023 Stockholm, Sweden

Combined, the Nordic countries have a population of 27 million, and an economy of $1.6 billion. Their citizens have strong purchasing power, and their consumer preferences are very similar. A study by E&Y in 2018 found that 24% of the Nordic consumers are planning to eat less meat and more plant-based food, primarily to help the environment. Fast forward to 2020, according to the Swedish Youth Barometer, 30% of the Swedish consumers are eating more plant-based products to reduce their environmental footprint.

The Nordic Future Food conference and the two co-located trade shows Food & Drink 2023 and FoodTech 2023, bring the food industry together for two intensive days of networking and doing business. This event is the region’s premier event focused on the future of food & beverages and food technology. It will provide Canadian suppliers the opportunity to meet with key decision makers in the whole food value chain.

In addition to the 2 days event, STEP is working with the Canadian embassy in Stockholm on organizing events on May 29 and 30.
