Trade Mission: Ag Commodities Western Europe Germany & Belgium
STEP is pleased to invite members on a trade mission to Germany & Belgium, being held May 29 – June 2, 2023.
CETA reduced/removed many of the old tariff barriers limiting market access for Canadian agriculture products into Europe. With the FTA in place, there has been a growing interest in buying Canadian products, which is creating new opportunities for the SK suppliers to enter and expand their presence in these two markets. In the last five years, Saskatchewan has experienced growth in the export of its agriculture commodities into both countries. Peaking in 2020, SK exported more than $150 million worth of products to both Germany and Belgium. As this trend continues, STEP is organizing a trade mission to both markets, where we will meet with and set up B2B meetings with large and medium sized importers.
The trade mission will consist of B2B meetings, Site Tours and Information sessions that will give STEP members the opportunity to expand their current business, and meet new buyers
Please complete and return the expression of interest to jalbers@sasktrade.sk.ca by March 9, 2023 if you would like to participate.
