Seminar - Selling on Amazon Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership (STEP) is hosting a seminar to launch the “Selling Food to U.S. Customers on Amazon Guide.” This seminar will introduce companies to Amazon and the process of getting established on the sales platform. Amazon represents a key sales channel for Canadian companies looking to take advantage of online platforms and e-commerce trends. The guide helps Saskatchewan sellers understand how to access the U.S. market using Amazon and how to navigate the processes, policies, and expectations set out by Amazon.

The event will feature a keynote presentation from Rian Gilronan, Head of Canada Marketplace Recruitment & Development, Amazon who will discuss the e-commerce landscape, the Amazon marketplace, the importance of online selling, and developing branding on the sales platform. There will be additional presentations from STEP, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture (SMA), and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC). You will also hear from Natasha Vandenhurk, Founder/CEO, and Heather Deck, Product Development & Regulatory Coordinator, from Three Farmers Foods on their experiences and tips for using Amazon.

Rian Gilronan leads the Selling Partner Recruitment & Development for Canadian based companies for Amazon Canada with responsibility for the growth of new Selling Partners on Amazon Canada’s Marketplace. Rian has been with Amazon for six years and holds an BA in finance from Oregon State University.

Funding for the seminar and guide is provided by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture (SMA) and the Canadian Agricultural Partnership.
