Seminar - Proposed China Free Trade Zones (FTZ) Gateway Pilot Project Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Are you looking for international expansion? Do you want to test the large opportunity present in the Chinese market? Join us to learn more about a new pilot program exclusively for STEP members.

Free Trade Zones (FTZs) in China are special economic zones where goods may be landed, handled, manufactured and re-exported without being subject to duty and customs clearance. FTZs and their service partners provide a range of services that reduce the complexity of import, promotion, distribution and market access. STEP has visited both the Qingdao Free Trade Zone and Shanghai Greenland’s Global Commodity Trading Hub to explore and learn opportunities and benefits of using their exhibition, warehouse facilities and related importation services.

In addition to learning about the Qingdao and Shanghai solutions, you will receive details on the exclusive export pilot developed for STEP members. The Qingdao FTZ and its Canadian representatives have collaborated with STEP to export, expose and market consumer-ready products to Chinese distributors and consumers. The program provides a comprehensive suite of services, coordinated through a single point of contact, to simplify trade and decrease the complexity of doing business in China. The pilot enables Saskatchewan exporters to test the demand for their products in this growing market while reducing the risk of entering a foreign market.

STEP invites you to attend the seminar to learn the opportunities and benefits by participating in the proposed pilot project.
