Brad Michnik, CITP
Director, Trade Development, North America
Born, raised and educated in Saskatchewan, Mr. Michnik graduated in 1988 from the University of Saskatchewan majoring in marketing and general business. In January, 2003, Brad attained his Certified International Trade Professional (C.I.T.P) designation.
Brad has amassed over eighteen years of experience in export market development. He has been with STEP since October of 1996, serving as its' Director, Trade Development for nearly 10 years, then assuming the position as Executive Director, Trade Development in September, 2006. Prior to his tenure at STEP, he spent eight years working in international marketing/sales with Saskatchewan manufacturing companies, primarily with Leon-Ram Enterprises of Yorkton, Sask. Brad also worked in the recreational products field with LDC Recreational Corporation of Saskatoon. During his tenure working in the manufacturing business, Mr. Michnik managed a direct sales force along with an international network of distributors, agents and OEM accounts in Canada, the United States and in over 30 other world countries. Mr. Michnik has also worked for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, Saskatchewan Government Insurance, and in mixed farming.
Brad serves or has served as a member of Trade Team Saskatchewan’s Export USA Sub-committee in the role of co-chairman, on the New Market Development Committee with the North Saskatoon Business Association (NSBA), is Chairman of the International Business Center for the 2006 Western Canada Farm Progress Show, and has been an organizer/director for various other committees and trade shows.
Mr. Michnik resides in Saskatoon with his wife Brenda and four children, Braden, Kyle, Kaylee, and Aaron.
