Global Ventures Magazine

In January 2009, Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership (STEP) introduced Global Ventures, a bi-monthly publication designed to carry a message both on behalf of and to the business community at a provincial, national, and international level.  For STEP, this publication is an appropriate medium to relay very timely messaging to both the local business community as well as the network of international contacts that this organization has developed over the past twelve years.  STEP has a proven track record of building local and international relationships that are vital to the success of exporters.

Working collaboratively with Concept Media, a Regina based publishing and marketing firm, the articles in the inaugural and forthcoming publications identify Saskatchewan-based companies and global markets that make a strong economic impact to the province.  The publications are made available to provincial business leaders, stakeholders, the media, and a host of international contacts who are provided with timely information pertaining to Saskatchewan and the markets it serves.

Global Ventures is published six times a year as the voice of Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership.  The publication highlights business development within the province, focusing primarily on exports in three sectors: agri-value, manufacturing and technology.  Each issue contains a number of sector-based feature stories that highlight success businesses, the challenges they overcame, and the programs and services they accessed to achieve that success.  Distribution of the magazine is done electronically to over 4000 International contacts as well as through hardcopy to over 2500 contacts in the provincial business community.

STEP is a non-profit, membership driven, government/industry partnership, designed to promote the growth of Saskatchewan's export industry.  STEP assists provincial businesses to realize global marketing opportunities through specially tailored services and programs.  STEP pursues growth in existing foreign markets and opens doors to new ones.
