Mr. Lionel LaBelle Born and raised in rural Saskatchewan, Mr. LaBelle studied Business Administration at the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus. In the mid-70's, he embarked on a twenty-five year entrepreneurial career assuming positions as Managing Partner, President, and Chairman of the Board with a broad cross-section of public and private corporations that focused on agri-business, construction, and the manufacturing industry. Annual revenues exceeded $130M with employment levels exceeding 150 staff. In 2001, LaBelle embarked on a new career path by becoming an outspoken advocate for the emerging biofuel economy both at a provincial and national level. His most recent position prior to joining STEP was the President & CEO of Gardiner Dam Agri-Energy. LaBelle resides in Saskatoon and has previously sat on various Boards including Family Services Saskatoon and the Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority. Mr. Brad Michnik Mr. Michnik has a degree in general business and marketing (University of Saskatchewan, 1988) and in January, 2003, Brad attained his Certified International Trade Professional (C.I.T.P) designation. Michnik has over twenty years of experience in export market development and has been with STEP since 1996. Prior to this, he spent eight years in international marketing/sales with Saskatchewan manufacturing companies. Michnik has served as a member of Trade Team Saskatchewan’s Export USA, the New Market Development Committee with the North Saskatoon Business Association (NSBA), Chair of the International Business Center for Western Canada Farm Progress Show and has been a Director for various other committees and trade shows. Ms. Angela Wasylynka, BAdmin, C.I.T.P.
Ms. Wasylynka is the Executive Director of Export Services with Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership (STEP). Since joining STEP in 2002, Angela has worked with Saskatchewan exporters to assist them in finding sources of financing and logistics services as well as identifying and pursuing development projects with the IFI’s. Angela also plays a key role in the design and delivery of new programs and services that STEP offers through the Export Services division. Before joining STEP in 2002, Angela received her Bachelor of Administration degree at the University of Regina with work experience from the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and the Department of Foreign Affairs regional office. Angela received her CITP designation from the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) in May 2005. Angela has been involved with other committees and working groups at the national and provincial level. Angela also currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Saskatchewan Business Mentorship Institute and has been involved in the institute since its inception in 2004.
