FITTskills Courses

Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership (STEP) has partnered with FITT to offer the FITTskills program. FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) is an international trade training and professional certification body. As the only organization of its kind in the world, FITT sets the standards and designs the training programs leading to the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation. FITT’s quality training programs impart knowledge and practical skills that provide a competitive advantage to trade practitioners while elevating their position in world markets.

FITTskills is a highly practical, hands-on series of courses that focus on the fundamental aspects of international business. Upon successful completion of all eight (8) courses and assessments, students will be awarded a FITT Diploma in International Trade. This diploma fulfills the educational requirement of the CITP designation.

Global Business Environment
International Marketing
International Trade Finance
Global Supply Chain Management
International Market Entry Strategy
International Trade Research
Legal Aspects of International Trade
International Trade Management

Course Format:
We offer FITTskills courses in a public forum or in corporate/in-house setting. 

The courses are delivered in the compressed format which involves self study, 2 full days of classroom time and a review session followed by a final exam or project.

Participants receive their materials 30 days before spending 2 full days with a highly experienced instructor. After the first session, participants have 30 days to review the material before attending a 3 hour review session followed by an exam.  In the case of project based courses (International Marketing, International Trade Management and International Trade Research) participants have 30 days to submit your project.

Corporate/in-house sessions can take place anywhere outside STEP's offices.  We will first complete an evaluation and then design a strategic training program that is tailored to your requirements and timelines.
