The University of Regina is a dynamic comprehensive university with enrolment in the 2005-2006 academic year reaching nearly 13,000 full-time and part-time students and nearly 1,200 faculty and staff. The University currently has approximately 950 international students representing 55 countries. Together with three federated colleges ? Campion College, First Nations University of Canada (FNUC), and Luther College ? it has developed an innovative blend of traditional and non-traditional academic programs in both teaching and research. There are nine faculties (Administration, Arts, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, Graduate Studies and Research, Kinesiology and Health Studies, Science, Social Work) with 23 departments, leading to bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees. The University is an acknowledged leader and pioneer in co-operative education and work-study programs. As well, 13 research institutes and centres advance teaching and research opportunities on campus, covering an impressive range of topics, with focus on five areas of excellence: culture and heritage; energy and environment; informatics; population health; social justice.
