IPSCO Inc. had its beginnings in 1956 as a Regina pipe manufacturer known as Prairie Pipe. From a small local pipe maker the Company began production of its own steel in 1960 and over the years, has expanded to own and operate 12 production facilities across North America. Today, the steelmaking capacity of our company is 3.5 million tons. IPSCO is a shareholder-owned, publicly traded corporation, which employs directly through its subsidiaries nearly 2,500 people, 900 of which, work in Saskatchewan.

Current Products and Services: IPSCO has over 600 North American customers using steel and pipe primarily in the energy, agricultural equipment, transportation equipment, heavy machinery, and construction industries. Their wide assortment of plate products widths, lengths, thicknesses, and grades are used by end customers to make construction and farm equipment, rail cars, barges, ships, storage tanks, bridges, structural poles, wind towers, large diameter pipe, energy tubulars, and a host of other products.
