SaskPower International is a wholly owned subsidiary of SaskPower. SaskPower is the electric utility which serves customers in the province of Saskatchewan, providing reliable, environmentally responsible, low-cost power which is a key building block for economic development. SaskPower International markets the engineering and management capabilities of SaskPower to markets outside of Saskatchewan. SaskPower International develops flexible innovative solutions to enhance electric utility operations in the areas of generation, transmission, distribution, financial management, environmental protection, and customer services. SaskPower International also markets and sells flyash from SaskPower's coal-fired generating plants to customers in Western Canada.

Current Products and Services:
Engineering and management capabilities of SaskPower; SPI's current business model is to partner with other utilities or power generation enterprises to invest in and develop projects. Tech could be gas, coal, biomass & particularily interested in wind gen projects.
Prefer partners who are interetsed in build/own/operate scenario.
100 megawatt + and $100M is prefered size of project.
SPI is very conservative with respect markets they would consider. Prefer North America, secondary Mexico, Chile, with some appetite for Aus & N.Z. and Western Europe
