Our Training

FITTskills International Trade Training was developed by the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) in Ottawa, Canada. FITT is Canada’s international trade training certification body. Created by a public private partnership with the Government of Canada and private industry, FITT sets the standard for international trade training in Canada and designed the program for the professional designation, Certified International Trade Professional (CITP).

FITTskills courses cover all of the essential topics related to success in the international market place. Course Format

Public/Classroom Delivery

nextrade training delivers FITTskills courses in a format that serves the busy professional. Our courses are delivered in the compressed format which involves self study, 2 full days of classroom time and a review session followed by a final exam or project.

When you sign-up for a FITTskills course you will receive your materials 30 days before spending 2 full days with a highly experienced instructor. After your session with our instructor, you will have 30 days to review the material before participating in a 3 hour review session followed by an exam that tests the knowledge you have gained. In the case of project based courses (International Marketing, International Trade Management and International Trade Research) you will have 30 days to submit your project.

Corporate/In-House Delivery

Earning your Credentials – Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) Designation

Successful completion of 4 FITTskills courses will earn you a Certificate of International Trade. Successful completion of all 8 FITTskills courses will earn you a Diploma of International Trade. Once you have earned your Diploma of International Trade from FITT and have one year of experience in international business you are qualified to receive your Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation.

Professional certification can open doors for you around the world. Gaining your CITP demonstrates to your colleagues and customers that you have the knowledge and skills to successfully tackle global markets.
