Introduction
The STEP Exporter of the Year Award was introduced in 1999 to recognize the export achievements of STEP members.
Entrance Details
Applications are reviewed by a Selection Committee of Saskatchewan business leaders involved in providing assistance to exporters. Eligible companies must be Regular Members of STEP actively exporting. The Selection Committee will consider the company’s performance in:
- introducing new products/services into world markets
- significantly increasing export sales
- achieving a high ratio of export sales to total sales
- impact on the community and job creation
The recipient of the award will appear at a special presentation of the award before an audience of Saskatchewan/national businesses and officials. The recipient will also be featured in advertisements in Saskatchewan newspapers as well as STEP will provide media relations on behalf of winning companies to provincial media.
