Exporter Readiness Program Exporter Readiness Program Brochure (pdf) What is the Exporter Readiness Program?
The purpose of this program is to arm Saskatchewan companies with the resources and tools that will enable them to build export capacity and knowledge. STEP’s goal is to help Saskatchewan companies take their products and services beyond the borders of Saskatchewan. This program will benefit any company with an exportable product/service and has the motivation/desire to develop the skills to sell into a foreign market.
What are the contents of the Exporter Readiness Program?
The program consists of a three part toolkit:
1) Internal Analysis
a. Your company fills out questionnaires and checklists to identify its strengths and weaknesses. b. After reviewing your questionnaires and checklists STEP arranges a one on one meeting with your company to gain a further understanding of your business. c. During your one on one meeting a STEP staff member will introduce the Export Plan workbook and highlight your relevant sections.
2) Customized Report including Action Plan
a. Based off the information collected in part one STEP will create a report for your company identifying key areas to build capacity or knowledge. b. Your company will be given options for solution for each key area. c. Your company will decide course of action.
3) STEP Support
a. STEP will always be available to provide assistance and guidance when your company encounters roadblocks, problems and other issues.

Are the details of my company and interacts with STEP kept confidential?
Confidentiality of information is extremely important to STEP. All STEP staff members, when hired, must sign a confidentially agreement. All interactions between a business and STEP staff members are completely private.
